Experience
The process of learning can be hard, but it should also be fun! That is where a tutor can help. A good tutor can help each student enjoy the learning process. This happens by understanding each student's specific struggles, academic goals, and learning style and then working with the student directly. I enjoy getting to know each student and helping them through one-on-one interactions as well as working together in smaller groups. My favorite part of tutoring is working in this way and seeing the student achieve their academic goals. I studied English and earned a master's degree in that subject at the University of Massachusetts - Boston. I also attended Gordon College for my undergraduate degree. My tutoring covers everything related to English. I also tutor math starting with the elementary grades through middle school grades; this includes geometry. I'm also available to tutor ISEE, SAT test subjects, and overall study skills. While hard work is needed in life, one must also enjoy life by relaxing and playing. This is an important balance no matter what your age. I enjoy reading, creative writing, watching and discussing outstanding films, running, hiking, volunteering, cooking, exploring, and meeting new people.
